This is a New England thing! Especially NH an Maine. However the Woopie pies I’ve eaten living here my whole life are much smaller and have fluffy white vanilla filling. Try a local farm stand ?

whoopie pies are not a thing around anymore. very old dessert from many many years ago. im sure their are folks that still love and eat it. its not for me either. there are so many American desserts that are absolutely delicious. pecan pies and cobblers for example. apple pie is has American as you can get.

Whoopie pies are not good in my opinion too. Cheesecake, strawberry cake, & carrot cake are the only desserts I will purchase but it has to be from a true bakery. If you have an Edgar’s nearby they are pretty good.
