I have a pair of tennis shoes i put on when I'm working, only when I'm working, and can't take them off until I'm done working. and then I switch between just standing at a table and sitting in various places in my apartment. the change is good to decrease chances of hyper focus and neglecting to take care of my needs as a human (food, water, bathroom, etc) but the shoes being on is a constant so it helps ground me

No phone until the day is done!!! And I mean, I use an alarm clock. (I forewarn my partner/family so that they know I’m in the zone). I get a weeks worth of work done in 6 hours of hyper focus and then doomscroll to my hearts content 🥰

not unhinged to me but i allot 1 hour of dilly dallying before i get to my actual tasks lol then i either have a podcast or movie in the background while doing deep work. if all else fails i clean my entire room in the middle of the day or take a mid day shower to call down 😭

Multiple bev types, two pairs of noise canceling headphones one for in ears for listening music podcasts whatevs u want and noise machine on mynoise the other set are over ear ones for calls or whatever. Then set my watch timer for intervals of 20 minutes. Oh and shoes and actually pants! For shoes slides can count. And snacks that are easy and don’t require you to leave the office room you’re in. Also doing body doubling with someone else via video call! I use a discord server called bodydoubling.com sometimes when I really need it

Invest in legit pajamas. That way even if you wear comfy clothes for working, it’s changing from sleep clothes. It helped me mentally a ton. Also, pomodoro method and lots of caffeine. 🙃😂
