Also me….Thank you so much for sharing this - was close to launching on TikTok and grateful for this message - I have felt the system is not right - lots of failings - much much much better to operate from your own site own domain - maybe used paid ads on TikTok - but college t your own clients and build your own mailing list !! The real power is in the mailing list - well done to you and thanks again!!

My biggest problem with having TikTok shop right now is that it doesn’t allow me to use any trending audio! I’m just waiting for my final orders to go through so that I can shut the whole thing down. 😭

Just wanted to add that you can always include marketing info when you send out your books 😁 I always include a flyer with a code for my website and newsletter so people can sign up easily if they want. I guess settlement terms in the US are different. For UK it’s 15 days standard but once you sell 100+ orders a month it’s only 3 days. Fulfilment is tight alright, though so you do need to have time every day for it.
