I had an 18yr gap and to start with it was ok but 5yrs in and it started causing serious issues. The older you get the more it effects negatively. Old man halitosis isn’t spoken about enough 😳Now getting divorced.

I don’t think the age gap is necessarily the problem but instead more the age of the 2 people involved. Prime example is Peter Andre and his wife Emily, 17 year different but have a beautiful family and both are clearly very mature and share the same morals/values.

Depends - if he’s in shape and looks young, young mentality etc, then what’s the problem. As long as being older you understand where she is in life and don’t push her.

With a big age gap, you do have to consider long-term realities like health issues and the fact that by the time you reach his age, he may already be gone. Illness can hit anyone, but dating someone older means those chances are closer, and it’s something you’re knowingly walking into. That’s different than it happening unexpectedly, but it’s another when you go into a relationship already knowing you may have to step into a caretaking role. And of course, that would mean becoming a widow much earlier in life.
