This generation has absolutely no respect. I've taught both my boys (16 and 13) to always open the door for a lady and or elder person and to smile. I told them they may not say thank you but it's the gesture that matters and they do it. Manners like this are taught at home and newer parents don't teach this anymore.

Always hold the door open for anybody with a two wheeler or just carrying packages delivered various things for 45 years of my life. I understand your frustration. People are rude in their own little world too bad I can’t tell that guy what I really think cause then my comment would get banned.

That’s just not the way I was raised. Don’t even think about holding a door, I just do it. If it’s for one person or a line coming in. Sad that so many people have that opinion now, but I can assure you my son doesn’t 😂
