We “manage” it in part by shipping it off to developing countries

It’s also why I don’t bother recycling anything plastic because it all ends up in the incinerator anyway. I would prefer it end up in the landfill, then be burnt and in the air.

All “isms” are a cult…environmentalism, socialism, feminism… and they try to trigger an emotional response in you to join them. And you can never question it or debate it

Lucy is a shill for Weiss's propaganda machine. Wealthy nations produce and consume the most plastic, then ship their trash overseas to avoid dealing with it. The Global South gets saddled with the fallout—burning waste, poisoned rivers, and collapsing ecosystems—while rich countries keep profiting from plastic. The real issue isn’t where the plastic ends up. It’s who’s creating it, exporting it, and refusing to clean up after themselves.

But also I have a 1000 plastic bags from shopping over last 5 months. I’m saving them to reuse so they don’t end up in a landfill but it’s so hard bc it’s SO WASTEFUL! We need reusable bags for shopping

Climate alarmists are nothing more than privileged hypocritical narcs that trades on the currency of shame, fear and virtue. They truly make me sick and the head of the snake are capitalists that use weak minds to push their agenda for control profit and to move real environmentalism away from where it should be.

I don’t like the idea of single use plastic, just because it seems wasteful. Anything sold online should just come in a plain brown box-easy to recycle, or compost, or burn. But, I’m with you-if you look at developing countries rivers, and it’s just trash flowing out to sea. If we could help them deal with their waste it would be better rather than forcing someone in Nebraska to use a paper straw.

Here’s another crazy one that makes sense: landfills can be made super safe and we have an enormous amount of surplus land. Somehow climate people hate landfill technology.

I know that you brought this up in a different video but Michael Shellenbergers book Apocalypse Never talks about this a lot. Fossil fuels and fossil fuel products like plastics and have done more to preserve marine wildlife than any thing else.

Plastic ending up in the ocean isn’t the only issue with it. It’s also the energy and resources that go into, and pollution that comes out of, producing single use plastic.

I would love to see us get away from single use plastic. ive learned the big wigs for all these organizations are only interested in making money. they dont want to actually solve issues. I believe there is an active mission to reduce the USA as a power figure and that is including our own government. until there is an active shift to actually putting the USA first nothing will change. how can we help other countries when we aren't willing to help USA

It's reassuring to know that a once indoctrinated young woman can learn to think critically about the group think that engulfed her at one time.

Thank you! I have asked people so many times how exactly they suppose their straws end up in the Ocean. They don’t. We are not freaking China who just dumps trash in the Ocean!

I realized the climate movement was a scam when I found out big corporations buy carbon credits so they can pollute more. It’s a complete pay to play scheme.

This is what happens with a lot of people when they are young and idealistic. I certainly was like you, but I’m not saying I’m not still idealistic. I’m just saying that I have recognized. There’s a reality here about groups like this that are pushing the wrong direction with all of their mightwhen just looking at where the problem is would do so much more good

There is no money to be made in helping those less fortunate, but there is in guilt tripping the wealthy. That’s why there is no pro climate activity outside of wealthy western nations
