@msnbc: "I couldn't fall back asleep because, like, I just had a gut feeling that something bad was about to happen." Lucy Kennedy had been asleep in her bunk at Camp Mystic, a roughly 750-person summer camp, as floodwaters swept through Texas’ Hill country. She recounted what happened that harrowing night to NBC News Correspondent Morgan Chesky. #MSNBC #NBCNews #flooding #Texas #weather #news
This camp is responsible for their deaths. No cell phones, no intercom system and how far away was the gentleman who tried to go warn them? So many questions. The counsoahouldnhave had phones in the cabins.

I would never send my child to a sleep away camp at the age of 8, 9 or 10 for one month. I’m sorry, but I would be way too nervous.

I never trust a child who's parent is facing her rubbin her back & hair... It tells me she was told what to say... the side eye look from the mom to the interviewer told me enough... its sad. but telling ur kid what to say is all bad... Now if the mom was facing forward & listening like the interviewer was I would believe a lil more of this.... "we had to go to rechalll" with the head drop(its partical lie partical truth)

Children should be safe and precautions should be taken for everyone. This failure needs to be very expensive for the politicians who failed to prioritize the safety of citizens.

It’s Trump’s fault that there was not mandatory massive evacuations. Instead, everyone dealt with mass casualties.

Catastrophic- unprecedented… unimaginable. Camp director died saving children… Wall of water developed in 45 minutes. Counselors has walkie talkies- cell service spotty. Totally tragic.

Unless I’ve missed it, could you please get the story on how the boys from Camp La Junta survived when their cabin was riopes from the camp and washed down the river. It was my first visual of this nightmare and I have not heard an update on these boys. Thank you for all you are doing to get us important information.

Solution: 1.Tell people with cars to press their car alarm button on their car keys. Locate vehicles at locations where everybody hears them. Demonstrate and practice so people know what to do. Also great for bears, wolves, all hearing animals including kidnappers.
