I got my daughter's nose pierced at 13. Shes now 15, in the honor roll since 6th grade, and an all-star volleyball player. Shes also allowed to say any curse. As long as she's doesnt curse at my husband and I, she can say what she wants. She doesnt smoke, vape, or drink. She also tells me EVERYTHING. Doesn't hide shit. And is very very responsible. Being strict only raises sneaky kids. If you say "not my kid" its definitely your kid. You just won't find out. letting your kids have body autonomy won't turn them into monsters
