What makes the questioner reach the conclusion that south east Asians don't like China? The Malaysians like China, the Singaporeans like China, the Thai like China, the Laotians like China, the Kumpuchean like China, the Indonesians like China, even some Vietnamese like China, and some of the Philippinoes like China, what are the south east Asians left that don't like China?

For over 100 years, Western propaganda has portrayed China negatively. This has caused many overseas-born Chinese to be brainwashed into thinking China is immoral or backward, especially under communism. They often grow up learning only the negative side—poverty, censorship, dictatorship—without seeing China’s success: modern cities, strong values, and 800 million lifted from poverty. While many love Chinese culture, they fear being called “brainwashed” or “pro-CCP” if they praise China. This divide is not from truth, but from years of bias, fear, and misinformation.

If China becomes weak, Asia will be plagued by war. The 19th and 20th centuries were the weakest periods in China's history, and during this time, Asia witnessed the most widespread and deadliest wars. Another podcast of just using Western views and pose a question which they have no data to backup. Thai is the biggest producer of Chinese cars, Laos and Cambodia has a high speed rail from China so their goods can be traded faster through China’s Yunnan province back and forth. Malaysia and Indonesia just joined BRICS which is led by China. Even Myanmar have reached out and is working deals. Aside from Vietnam and Philippines, which are proxy nations US try to manipulate and use to start things with China. Western nations charm southeast Asians to exploit, China does it to expand the old Silk Road of peace via the Belt and Road initiatives.

Most of my Chinese friends from China now currently living in USA don’t like China and have some negative comments about Chinese in China like being rude, spitting, cutting in line, no table manners… But that’s just from the people I know around me. 🙏
