You need more than cushion. You need goo supportive shoes (stop buying cheap a$$ shoes. Stop buying sketchers. Buy real supportive shoes) arch support is not cushion. Feet hurting is not more cushion. The right shoes. The right SIZE shoes. Plus proper insoles.

Anti fatigue mat insoles are the best. I’m a welder on my feet on concrete all day. They are amazing. $25/$30 on Amazon.

I think weight plays a part. I bought two pair when I was bigger they didn’t work . I lost a ton of weight and changed them since I’m in my feet all day and they aren’t the best ever but they are good
