When I was SA I froze n just laid there n let them do whatever, I was to scared if I tried anything I’d get hurt. So I gave them what they wanted to keep myself safe. It’s not as easy as getting up n leaving

I’m a detective and most of my victims freeze. Some don’t remember the event at all. No matter what your reaction is no is no and no one ever deserves for this to happen to them.

Why do they always act like males always take no for an answer. Women say no & are still harmed. Women fight back & are over powered, women try to run & they’re chased down, a lot of the time, it’s SAFER to ‘fawn’, the harm will still happen but it can save our lives

there are 4 or 5 responses, flight, flight, freeze, and fawn. fawn is people pleasing out of fear. they're all valid responses and don't disintegrate your trauma. I've faught, I've frozen, and I've people pleased simply because I couldn't run. everyone deserves to feel and be safe, regardless of the situation 💕

This is absolutely *not* a criticism of you or any other SA; I just think it should be industry standard that, particularly for rougher and more extreme stuff, all of the specifics should be consented to beforehand. And if you haven’t consented to it in the contracts and/or a consent video, they’re not covered. There should never be a “blanket” consent that covers any and every situation. I’m so sorry that this happened to you.

I always said I would never let a man do anything to me. But I completely froze under him, I tried to push him off me and he held my hands down to the bed. I stopped fighting. Never just assume just saying no will stop them.
