correct but every town also has a limit on how many you can dig daily and you can't sell them unless you have a commercial license from that town. if you hold a commercial state license most towns won't sell you a rec permit.

I mastered plucking by hand over the side of my kayak in the soft mud further out, let the tide bring me in. Filled my bucket up with them in no time, not much grit in them out there 👍
