These comments are so weird cuz if this was literally any other artists with a bigger platform it would not be an issue AT ALL. She apologized, she grew and changed, but thats just not enough for people anymore, unless its their fave, then things are different. And even then, YOUR faves would never in a million years address their mistakes in the way ethel did. Think about that.

Guys she never made an excuse to what she did even she admitted to do so. But as someone who comes from a very conservative place I will say people change. And if you follow her you can see her advocating for social injustices when it comes to minorities. Again, I get being upset/disappointed but don’t put anyone on a pedestal, nobody is perfect and not everything is black and white. Being progressive is a privilege that not everybody can afford, once a person has it it’s up to them to change.
