Please clarify this for me - the landlord wants to charge you a pet fee (I understand they say it’s a dog but it’s not) but isn’t a Bean a pet by definition? Or does the pet fee only adhere to dogs? I’m Swedish and we don’t have those kind of rules/fees here, that’s why I’m curious, no hate.

Reminds me of the time I was hiding my dog to avoid a pet fee. Maintenance was scheduled to come so I left a note out saying how to take care of the dog as if I was watching my friends dog. It worked the first time, but the second time I did same thing, I got caught.

Usually a pet fee is for pest control or cleaning services after you live there. Usual pet clean, idk if it’s the same with guinea pigs but - I would contact them and explain the situation tbh 😂

My landlord threatened to evict me and my husband if we didn’t get rid of my guinea pig because the lease specified that the only pets allowed were dogs, cats, and birds (?). Literally all it took was my husband asking why birds were allowed to get them to let us just pay the pet fee and add her to the lease.
