@e.hord: The rotation box Objective: Develop midfielders’ understanding of positional rotation, spatial awareness, and movement in relation to teammates. ⚙️ Setup: * Area: Four 10x10 yard squares forming a larger grid, with a 5x5 yard central square. * Players: 5 midfielders. * Ball: 1 ball in play. ▶️ Instructions: 1. Players pass the ball among each other freely. 2. After each pass, the passer must rotate by switching places with a teammate to their left, right, or in the center square. 3. All players are allowed two touches (or adjust based on level). 🧠 Coaching Points: * Body shape: Receive the ball across the body to maintain vision of the entire area. * Head on a swivel: Constantly scan — always be aware of the ball and the central square. * Trigger movement: Understand how a teammate’s run affects your own position — move with intention and awareness. * Communication: Use verbal and visual cues to avoid collisions and maintain spacing. . . #soccertraining #footballtraining #soccerdrills #soccerpractice #soccerdevelopment #playerdevelopment #soccercoach #ballmastery #privatesoccertraining #1on1soccer #soccerskillstraining #elitesoccertraining #soccerfitness #youthsoccer #socceracademy #soccermentor #sacramentosoccer #soccerdrills #footballdrills #footballpractice #footballcoach #youthsoccer #sacramento #sactown #916
