I have autism, I only call someone by names or they/them pronouns, unless I truly know their pronouns they want to use, even though I don’t care about my pronouns as long as it’s not neopronouns, and if I don’t like someone’s name, I will pronounce it differently or make a nickname for them that I do like

I feel like anything fits better than an actuall name, a nikname, a short nam, a number, an abbreviation.. I STRUGGLE remembering and matching names to faces. Having to name my OCs is also a big deal 😭

yeeeeees, the 2 exeption are my best friend and little brother I love using their names but that's probably bc I'm really close to them? idk using names feels very intimate to me, also I really don't like the fact I have a name. I don't want it 😭

That's connected to autism?? 😭 I don't have a diagnosis, but I am slowly "collecting" which of my behavior is overlaping with experiences of autistic people... And.. I didn't make this connection. But I struggle with it sooo much.... Even with my first ever boyfriend, I had to force myself to call him by his nickname at the time (Michael -> Misha), bcs it felt soooo strange to me! 😭 And I avoid using peoples names as long as possible.. Also sometimes, I have an irrational fear, that I don't actually remember their names, even when they are my friend already xDd
