The video of that night is so awful to watch. Whoever was recording noticed the fire quickly and started backing out, but the screams of the people trying to get out are so haunting.

One of my cousins died in this, it was her birthday, I remember the week after so vividly. I was a kid but I remember it so well and it definitely makes me think twice going into large enclosed crowds, nightclub, or otherwise.

the crazy thing about this video is that the person filming it was filming footage for a nightclub safety film. it's why he moved to the back so quickly, he knew how serious it could get and he knew how to react

I’ve studied this fire so much, I did a presentation on it in my fire/arson investigation class in college. Definitely recommend everyone read the book about it called “The Killer Show”

I worked with a guy who was in the fire and he was severely burned and an amputee because of it, super sad

People I knew through a fan club for another band were supposed to go to this and for whatever reason, they didn’t go; we were glad they were safe but it seemed like the number of dead and critically injured just seemed to keep climbing
