I am a purchasing manager in construction. Tariffs have not been as stiff as expected, but they cost 1-2% on margins. For a business of 400-500 employees, this cuts into bonuses and the ability to get better benefits. The bigger problem is how to price new jobs? Tariff, no tariff, tariff, no, tariff. It is driving us up the wall.

Wasn’t WPP warning a day before a bigger tell. They are a giant ad agency and they said ad business is significantly struggling and down. It has major impact for Google, Facebook, etc along with the idea that big Fortune 500 are pulling back ad dollars

Tarrifs have also been mostly delayed raised, lowered, and so forth. Consumers are still consuming, but savings and consumer debt still look progressively more awful

Respectfully the market is just learning you can’t take him at his word. He’s scuttled and ‘postponed’ tariffs so many times now. I work closely with a B dollar import business and everyone’s shifted to just thinking about tomorrow instead of assuming tariffs will hit

Tesla is also shipping their Model Y to Canada from their Germany plant to bypass the tariffs. They have reduced the price by 20k. The U.S. plant just lost out.🤣

That's hilarious because the tariffs haven't happened yet, "Trump the glove" starts and tariff talk and 2 weeks later it stops, then it starts again. Then stops, so this is basically a nothing burger, until the bottom drops out come on Maddy do better, get to the real story.
