RCTA is disrespectful because you’re appropriating another culture besides your own. Imagine you took hours and hours of time to make something, your masterpiece. And then someone, who knows nothing about your masterpiece besides the few things they know on the surface, takes your work and puts it out as their own. I’ve seen people ‘RCTAing to Korean’ just to become a Kpop Idol or something..when you could do the same thing as your current race? You just need to learn Korean. I cannot stress this enough, its borderline racism. To your own race, and theirs. RCTA is hatred. Transgenderism is not. Also, why are people only changing their race to Korean and Japanese. It’s really only racism and judging a book by its cover, because Japanese and Korean people are very pretty or attractive people. But you could still be beautiful as a different race.

RCTA stands for “Race Change To Another,” and it’s the idea that someone can identify as another race or claim they have “transitioned” into a different racial or ethnic group. This concept is invalid because race isn’t just a costume, aesthetic, or set of hobbies you can adopt. It’s tied to ancestry, culture, community experiences, and the social realities of how people are treated in the world. When someone claims to be RCTA, they often rely on stereotypes or superficial traits (like language, fashion, or music tastes) rather than a genuine cultural or familial connection. It reduces entire cultures and racial identities to trends, which is disrespectful and harmful. Also, RCTA erases the real struggles and discrimination that people of those racial groups face. Someone who “identifies” as another race can choose to stop at any time, but people who are part of that race cannot. This makes RCTA both offensive and privileged, because it allows someone to take only the “fun” parts of a culture while avoiding the discrimination and systemic issues tied to that racial identity. In short, race is not an identity you can simply choose or change at will.
