I’m so sorry, I hope your system can start learning to recognize that the collective wellbeing is what matters, and if you help that they should respect it. Also every alter deserves respect, even if they aren’t lovely. And your attitude is far less important than the help you’re able to provide. We have an alter who refuses to speak to anyone in system. He will blatantly ignore you if you try and talk to him. But it’s just cuz he doesn’t like people, he is a caretaker and does amazing work to keep us healthy and taken care of. We all try and recognize that his way of presenting himself isn’t reflective of him being a “good” or “nice” person. I hope your system can have similar realizations soon.
