It may be worth considering a return to the previous system, where all bicycles are registered under the owner’s name. To encourage compliance, the first five year of registration could be free from the date of implementation, with a small 5 yrs fee of $2 thereafter. Registration can be done online, with number plate stickers issued for cyclists to affix to their bikes.

comparing to Europe, SG still have a lot to improve on or cars and bike sharing. Since SG car pays COE and road tax,give pays more attention to the road users

V simple , as long as the footpath is less than 2m in width, only pedestrian and approved PMA allowed. Infra just no ready for padestrains and cyclists to co-shares. The latter always thought they owned it.

Cyclists e-bikes are causing elderly people a lot of harm. Footpaths have no place for cyclists and e-bikes

Becos cyclists cannot win cars and definitely injured if accident occurs with cars…. But if it’s with pedestrians, cyclists dun have to be afraid…..

at this point, the demand for cycling paths are much lesser than roads. much cheaper to modify pedestrian paths than roads too. easily 2 reasons
