I had one that got beat up once. I kept her inside for a month. Took her back out and she’s great thankfully but she’s one of my head hens.

My husband built me a nursery pen in my coop. The hen is separated, can move around. And can be quarantined until healed. It has a roosting bar and a nesting box in it.

separate a couple other birds while she's healing. then when it's fully closed up put them all back in at once

I did but the chicken would go in coop earlier and get the highest spot. And finally they did except her. I also got a blue spray for her. And they did not hurt her anymore

they will pick at any sore or open spots. and if she's gone a day or two, they won't recognize her as part of their flock. they will kill her.

Chickens are brutal!!! I had to take in one of my mom’s hens because of the same thing. We believe she had some health issues and that’s why the other hens were trying to kill her. She was weirdly shaped so probably a bad heart.
