After Soul Tides, I believed the whole reason why he moved the way he did with Cierra i.e. closing off with her was due to him thinking he had no chance with Olandria...Basically settling with Cierra because he was really pining for Olandria.

I was super weary about Nic and how lustful he is, but I had to remember he's 24 on a dating show with girls just throwing it at him. He just wasn't into Cierra past a summer fling. With Olandria, he is meeting her at her pace and respecting all of her boundaries, while being incredibly intentional. I can't hate on that. I think this Nic with Olandria's is who he is, truly.
