it’s the same rhetoric every time and genuinely, most times, it’s people hating children. Like the “gen z stare” is not coming from older gen z. That’s not who they’re talking about. It’s just teenagers, who are inexperienced in the work force on top of being poorly socialized.

Yeahhh honestly I have no issue with millennials except if they talk to me super condescending-like. The “you kids have it so easy” is always gonna get an eye roll from me. I absolutely understand respecting elders, especially queer elders, and the work they did. That’s kinda ingrained in me as a southern person. But it’s also super dismissive to pretend young people have it easy rn. So being judgy about a “stare” that’s largely caused by things out of our control is just kinda annoying. I can’t speak for every gen z person but I don’t actually gaf abt skinny jeans and side parts, it’s always been in retaliation if I’ve ever said smth negative abt it.

I’m a millennial with almost entirely gen z employees (work at a university, with college age staff). It’s definitely a thing…but like has been a thing for almost every generation. General rudeness/blank stares in young adult service workers has been a running joke since the 70s. It’s not a new phenomenon.

Honestly, I do have beef with Gen z for being the first generation that is statistically less progressive than the previous generation. It's incredible that they dogpiled millennials for the past few yrs yet wear Y2K fashion while voting away our rights.

people be forgetting the entirety of gen z were on lockdown in middle school and high school in their most social and formative years and our president has been donald trump for 80% of our lives and all of us are living at home as adults cause we can't afford anything 😭🙏
