This was my 1st year teaching and I did this! I had a really tough class and I had one student who would consistently say “of course she’s giving herself a point she wants to win” and then another student once said, “why would she want that???” But I really loveeeee doing this and will continue to do it!

I’ve done the teacher v students it works great. I would put my hand near the chart and everyone would scream stop stop she’s getting a point 😂

I work as a sub as I am attending school for BA Elm Ed. I play this game all the time. Some kids who have had me before even remember and ask if we will play again.

I do a bean jar! They start with zero beans. If they don’t meet an expectation (silence, niceness, good behavior) they get a bad bean. Goal is less than 10 beans. They loose a bean if I notice them doing good! It goes back and forth all day

I did that for my 6th graders for class outside on Fridays. Either I earned the point or they did. 5th and 8th periods were mocked bc they rarely got enough points to go outside each week.

Lord, I needed that this past year. I was the CT of a very difficult class and was with them for all four academic periods. Definitely going to put this into play next year because apparently the class I’m going to be with is just as tough, if not more so.
