I was alienated from my father. I was told the worst things imaginable and it took me well into my late 20’s to realize it was her. What this did to me, I married two men who were identical to my mother. Years of therapy helped me and my father being consistent, and he never spoke an ill word against her. It confused me greatly, but it was in his patience and actions , I saw the truth. I haven’t had any contact with her in over 10 years now. I take care of my father now. I ended up becoming a GAL, a court reporter and I am an advocate for all children. It’s true, when kids are being alienated it’s horrific, I genuinely thought my father didn’t want or love me. Be patient dads, I can see you all, and my heart goes out to each and every one of you.

Sometimes it’s so bad on the child and you that you need to just walk away. And hope your child reaches out once they see what’s going on if they ever do.

It’s been 795 days since I last spent a day or heard from my kids. Their mom has expertly erased me from their lives. The courts? Laughable at best. Our judge didn’t give two shits and went so far as to say he himself didn’t have a relationship with his own father for over 10 years.

I Australian, 67. My brother has seen his daughters in nearly 40 years. I haven’t seen one of my sons for 6 years. We basically don’t care. Men get abused and used. We keep away from shxt.
