I think most of it is the abusive parents who claim their children are homeschooled when they actually just don’t want them going where mandated reporters can report them for neglect /abuse

Absolutely! I wish I would have come to this realization 10 years ago! I wasted 9 years in public education as a teacher to figure out this ridiculous system! Now I’m trying to fast track helping my family break free from it

Homeschooling is not what it was 20 years ago. If my husband and I weren't both public school teachers, I would seriously consider it.

Zero oversight for homeschooling. Some parents do a decent job. Most simply can't tell the difference between being responsible and just doing whatever they want.

I think it teaches them what they need in life as a whole and not just academically. Public schools are just for reform. Spoken from a mom who couldn’t financially take her kid out of public school but I ALWAYS wanted to home school. ❤️
