I’ve had to start saying “salad or soup” because of the baffling amount of people that think I’m saying “Do you want a super salad?” And they simply respond with “yes.” 😒

I went to GameStop the cashier looked at me blankly when I asked if they carried PS3 controllers like I was the dumbest person on the planet he continued to stare at me for what felt like an eternity until he checked his computer and said there were some at a different location. THAT is the stare we are talking about.

I love that in general, people are agreed as to what the real definition, Gen Z people are fundamentally misunderstanding it, and somehow making it everyone else’s problem/ fault that they didn’t have the contextualization skills to understand lmfao. It’s definitely some form of irony.

No, that’s not the Gen Z star. That’s the I can’t believe I’m dealing with this idiot customer service there. Which all of us Elder millennials were dealing with when we had boomer customers 15 years before you had a job. The Jenn’s is when I walked into a coffee shop and said “hello” to the cashier and then she just stared at me.

Why are your takes so off lately? The Stare is when any interaction that requires a response to proceed gets halted awkwardly bc they just stare in response. They’re literally pulling this on service workers themselves.
