when he looks like he’s about to go, place him in the box and don’t let him out until he goes—move his hands around in the litter to insinuate he can make space in there. reward him with a treat everytime he uses his box.

it should come naturally for them. But also make sure their little box is not by their food. They need to have separate areas. Also, if it’s dirty, they will go somewhere in the house.
