You wanted jelly nails. It is not your fault. If you asked for the color on the board they should not be so opaque. Yes the nail is clear but I have plenty of jelly gels and they do not look that opaque unless multiple coats are added.

nail tech here, those are jelly polishes and they need a clear base (no color under the polish,like on the board) to look like that. she could've used a silver cat eye polish under the jelly to help with the jewel effect

I don't know what she did, but the nail polish on the board is sheer, buildable polish that I mostly see referred to as Jelly or Glass. She either used completely different polishes or put something opaque as a base that threw off the sheer-ness of the polish. The nail tech is definitely at fault.

She did not do them correctly. Jelly nails absolutely can look like the display. Either she used the wrong polish or did way too many layers.

this is actually your nail techs fault- she should have made the nails clear- I'm not even licensed just doing my own nails at home and even I can do that. she should have just warned you that you'd be able to see your natural nail thru them- the tips would look like how they do on the board.
