It’s when they realize that they are outside of their momma. They are starving because they aren’t directly connected to a food source. I WISHHHHH someone would’ve told me about this.

When we asked for help, we were told you need to learn this. How are you going to do it when you go home!!! It was our first baby and first time asking for help.

I never knew this was a thing but whew second night. Mine cried from 12pm to 2am and nothing would help 🥺 the nurse finally took him from the room since he needed testing anyways. And this was my third baby! Once home, he’s been completely amazing.

I tell moms that day 1 they are recovering from delivery just like mom. Day 2 they are hungry. Hungry irritable babies are common for day 2 until early milk comes in. The nursing nonstop is just a hungry baby waiting, and helping milk suppy to come. It feels overwhelming due to loss of sleep, wild hormones, and needs patience, support, and resting when baby rests.

Mine always waited until we got home to cry all the time, the nurses even feel a need to tell me how calm they are and I just knew it won’t last haha but during our hospital stay all 3 times there is a baby in the room next to us that just is not happy and I always feel sooo bad for those parents. I would be so stressed. And I hope this comment doesn’t jinx the 4th hahaha because that hospital stay is one of my favorite experiences ever 😩🤣

I had a c section and the 2nd night was bad. My baby was crying so much and I didn't know about 2nd night syndrome. We paged the nurse and all she told us was babies cry, it's normal. We had to do our own research to find out about it.

Here for a non-complicated hospital birth you get 24 hours. If you have an Ontario midwife if everything is fine your release within three hours. I know people who doctors get released with in four hours too.
