Last night, after many years, my parents and I went to the movies together. I suggested we watch Superman, because all of your films have always felt wonderful to me. I knew that, given their age (80 and 60), they probably wouldn’t stay awake for long—they usually fall asleep as soon as a movie starts. But I thought, at the very least, it would be a nice way to spend some time together. To my surprise, not only did they stay awake, but they were fully engaged the entire time—smiling, reacting with surprise, and watching with so much tenderness. When the movie ended, as we walked home, we had a beautiful conversation. They told me it had been a very long time since they had seen a movie like that… and those words filled my heart with joy. It had been so long since we shared something that special, and I truly feel that your film helped us forget everything else for a moment—and brought us a little closer again. Thank you for that. Thank you for always making me laugh, and most of all, thank you for making my parents smile.

I’ve always found Superman to be a boring character but your vision made me realize for the first time what he’s all about: unapologetically fighting for good even in a cynical world that tries to convince us that’s naive.

Sold 7.5/10 a few things that raised eyebrows. Hawkgirl: More screeching then conversation lines. Perry: underused need more. The Kents: A bit to hick. Martha and Pa are corner stone and of the land this we a bit to hayseed on the phone call. Just a few unneeded meh moments. The "there's and anomaly on the border line". was bad and forced to move the story. Lex should of had a satellite watching and saw it on the screen as the JG cleaned house. ______________ My one fan service moment somewhere down the road. Batman punching out Guy in the watchtower with everyone watching and John Stewart hands Hal a $50 bill with no words.
