This is so typical, blatant plagiarism! This was settled outside of court. Shakira and Sony were difficult to deal with apparently according to Golden Sounds Grp- considering they knowingly stole/sampled it, and didn’t want to give credit in the first place. If the Cameroon group hadn’t brought it up, they would’ve gotten away with it 🙄smh

The song was inspired from a true life story: “za anga louer wa” which means who sent you here. It was said my senior military men to some new recruits who were traumatized by the training on the first day. So they said to them “who sent you here”. Weren’t you informed before coming here. Now the Cameroon military is know for using insults in their songs during parades and sporting exercises. So this was initially sang by the millitary before it became a popular song.
