When were you induced/why? I feel like I’ve heard several horror stories after people were unnecessarily induced :(

So your OB should have told you to do the epidural BEFORE the foley balloon. I did that and didn’t feel it.

My first was also so traumatic. After 24 hours of induced labor, I was sent off for an emergency C-section. The medicine didn’t kick in well and I could feel being cut so they had to put me to sleep. Missed out on my babies first cry and didn’t hold my baby for over an hour. Recovering from the C-section was so rough then I had ppd 😅. My second I was given the option of a vbac but told my incision could open so I had an elective C-section and it was wonderful that time around. 💕

That sounds so traumatic!! I just gave birth to my second baby and I learned a lot from tik tok how to let my body do it all and I had an amazing experience so I think you will be fine for second baby try to do the least amount of intervention. I’m going to share my birth experience soon!

I was induced at 37 weeks and basically everything you had done except I asked for epider when I was maybe 3cm. It worked so well, when it was time to push I was watching some show on bravo and 30min later i had delivered. So sorry you went thru that. Ask for epidural early, don’t wait. With my first I waited too long and it didn’t work bc it was given too late. Also don’t rush. You are young. Your son is enjoying being #1 for his parents right now.

My friend decided they’re just having their one boy, he’s 3. If you decide you’re done, that’s okay, too. 🥰

My first was traumatizing also gave birth at 35 weeks went in for throwing non stop and his heart was dropping fast when I was there barely 10 min on monitor. They took me straight to a c section under anesthesia and woke up 3 hours later to find out my baby knotted his embolic cord. Couldn’t even hold him they took him to another hospital for the nicu stayed in the nicu for a month. But alhamduallah he’s 1 now and healthy 🥺

It’s so nice hearing someone else say exactly how I feel! I have one son (3 in September) and I want another but I’m traumatized. I was admitted at my 39 week appointment for high BP (healthy pregnancy BP was slightly high). Started me on all the meds Wednesday afternoon I was barely dilating, and well to make a long story short I didn’t have him until almost Saturday (9pm Friday night) epidural only worked on half of my body and the peanut ball exercises I did for two days….. OH and I pushed for four and a half hours. All with no food and water. I’m an advocate that no one persons birth story “tops” anyone else’s I’m just so relieved to hear someone feel the same way I do. And of course they all said “it’s your first it always takes the longest”. Anyways, still don’t have a second!

Curious to why they schedule an induction for you? This is so traumatizing and completely different than my induction. I was admitted night before, started on cytotec x 3 doses. Dr came in next morning and broke my water. She was born 2 hours later

that is a very valid trauma. I'm sorry it hapoened to you. I know you'd do it again and again and that your son is your whole world, but you matter too and that sounds like a whole bunch of hurt and trauma in order to get to the sunshine.

I have two boy and I was induced in both baby deliveries, the first one was Cs and the second was a natural one ; the difference between them was I educated myself more about pregnancy and my body, I believed in myself that I can do it, and I practiced to be less afraid and more confident and relaxed during the birth because I believe being scared or nervous makes it harder for the mother and the baby on the way 🥹🥹
