when i read my first ao3 fic i didn't read the tags so i didn't know it was an incxst, non/con (turned consensual), serial killer, naz,sm fic..i went back to wp and didn't touch ao3 for 3 years after that 😞

For all those out of the loop like me: DDDNE means “Dead dove: do not eat” from Arested Development. It means the story contains exactly what it says so don’t open to check unless you want to see that

so uh if you ONLY missed the dddne, you should’ve been fully prepared for the fic… dddne emphasizes that tags aren’t meant lightly, it doesn’t “mean” a specific trope
