hypocrisy is if you are in the EXACT same situation as someone else and choose to make that same decision that hurt you. based on the context I've gathered, 1. you are overwhelmed and likely tried to communicate that, then no one showed up. which is different than people observing you being overwhelmed and choosing to let you deal with it bc it's too uncomfortable to deal with. choosing healing is not hypocritical, it's logical. So long as you communicate your boundaries you are "better" than those who chose to disrespect them.
