We had one area the water rose 40ft. I’m from WNC. FEMA allowed bodies to be buried in the debris we still have no actual account of the dead. The news only reported around 200. It was thousands. 1800 mud slides in the mountains. Rivers lakes filled with bodies trucks, houses. I feel your pain. We are still not back and never will be. Families lost members through the winter with these families living in tents with temperatures below freezing. Still no help. No more coverage.

My own father said we got what we deserved during the great freeze because Texas is red. We are originally from Chicago and he was living in Michigan at the time. I couldn't believe he said that to me. What is wrong with people who make these situations about race or politics. 🤦♀️

God help this man! Please send him comfort and support - he is in shock, he's suffering, this is trauma! How can someone recover from watching their entire family dragged away in the water then being forced to jump a fence to search for the decomposing body of their child? Dear God, this is awful 😢
