Hello several years ago I have always used biidentical hormones in the last few years. I stopped using them wished I had not but now I’m getting ready to turn 64 is it too late in life for my age to start back on the supplementation on HRT

low & slow & titrate up! Stacking has made all the difference not only w meno but w managing neuromuscular disease amidst this. CP + meno. 20 dose changes in a year. I have learned so much! I am becoming a better version of myself & I see that 4 my provider 2. The stacking concept has also applied to introducing other meds. Now on HRT trifecta plus baclofen & gemtesa. Adding the bac after hrt has helped me figure out whether the symptoms are meno vs the other meds as bac & gemtesa can have similar effects. The overlap is REAL.

I took 1 100 progesterone and the lowest patch dose.0375. Worse experience of my life. I woke up with such severe joint pain and crying all day massive anxiety. Took that patch right off and I will never take progesterone again. I have RA & scleroderma. Never again. Worst day of my life.

How long can you be only on estrogen if you have a uterus? I have symptoms of both but would like to start with estrogen only.

I have an IUD and have often wondered if I could also take the progesterone pill to help with mood. My doctor told me that progesterone is basically only used to protect the uterine lining (the IUD is enough for that), not so much for mood.

my dr gave me estradiol patches .5 and 200 progesterone and refuses to try any testosterone. im 48. also she made me try a ton of anti-anxiety meds and talk therapy before she would even try HRT. I've spent thousands and thisbis the miracle

My clinician started me on the pallet therapy which was the testosterone And estrogen and then a week later she got me on And estrogen and then a week later she got me on progesterone and an antidepressantprogesterone. Absolutely the worst 7 weeks of my life I thought I was going to die I was in pain from the pellet for about 4 weeks I still Feeling From getting on an antidepressant Feeling sick from getting on an antidepressant And I believe in stacking hormones after what I've just been through With all of the things that she has put me on I am extremely sleepy today was a 1st day I didn't take

I have symptoms of low progesterone I think? I’m in perimenopause and I have trouble staying asleep as well as anxiety. I am working with a doctor and I take 100mg of progesterone each night, which has helped a bit. But when I try taking 200mg my sleep actually gets worse. Any idea why this would happen?

I’ve always advocated for tirating myself low and slow with meds. I started at 50mg progesterone pill and every other day estrogen cream and every other day testosterone till we did labs. We just lowered my thyroid med, upped my progesterone to 100mg and switched to the estrogen patch and holding off testosterone. I cannot tell you how great I feel! I still had sleeping issues and some anxiety but this change has me sleeping and no anxiety.

My wife has been on progesterone (she is estrogen dominant) for 6 months and the constant nausea and daily vomiting hasn’t stopped. Seen 5 doctors and no one wants to help or recommend anything other than bio identical progesterone. Any ideas?

This is so important and missed by so many providers!! It can take a lot of tweaking so we must know which hormone therapy is affecting which symptoms! Thank you for sharing this!❤️
