I definitely agree I hope those girls have an outstanding, successful career but none of their songs hold any depth to me. Now for others it’s perfect but I definitely do prioritize lyricism to songs.

Was scared to say it but I feel the same. It’s a catchy song that feels formulated to be liked yes, but it has no character imo. It feels like a song given to Katseye to PERFORM which it is, rather than a Katseye song. Point is: given to them or not, I SHOULDNT FEEL like it was. Idk.

my only issue with gabriela was coming from a release like gnarly.. i thought they were gonna continue to do more experimental or at least different music.. but- there’s a million songs that are like “don’t take my man 😡” so it’s a tad meh but! idk pretty girls always win i can’t be too upset :/

That’s what I’ve been saying katseye has fun songs but not good songs. With the K-pop methodology comes K-pop problems lack of originality and creativity that all hit global girl groups have which sucks because the girls are actually talented and getting held back

As a fan I love Katseye so much but I feel like their songs are always missing something. Gabriella and game boy kind of feel generic but their visuals and dance save it so much. And while I love the message of mean girls, it still feels a bit flat. I wish they would get better pop songs for them. MIA was so good though

Why would HYBE switch up what is working. BTS proved they fans will literally bop anything cause dynamite them lyrics were trash. HYBE was like if the beat and vibes are right then the fans don’t care. The fans are heavily connected to Katseye and that why half them songs work cause Gnarly was trash but a banger
