I am ok just jumping right in because at this point ,I hate origins movies especially for a character such as Superman Batman or spider man these characters are too popular and have been around at least 50 year or more. I also cared about faster than I thought I was in just the first movie of this new universe.

generally when your building your OWN universe like gunn claims to be with dc...you need origin stories to introduce a character in that particular universe.....this is not the same ol superman story as the rest...it is not a continuation of any of them.

There's definitely some strong-arming from Gunn here, but I'm okay with it. I don't think you're really meant to care about the Justice people that much, and more so about Superman (which I certainly did). As long as my favorite heroes get the proper treatment in this universe/these movies, I'll be happy. And so far, that's what I see happening. Superman was challenged, questioned himself, struggled in battles, and still maintained everything pure about the character that I personally like. That's good enough for me, I can forgo the handholding this time around
