@aperezvoyages: This weekend I reconnected with some friends from American Samoa for a last minute swim and ended up taking a cruise around Upolu in a counter clockwise direction. And though it was a blur in quick passing for both the lens of my camera and even my eyes, I for the first time since my arrival on the shores of this side of Samoa can see what people have been talking about. The culture and colors of Samoa are EVERYWHERE. I mean, what else do I expect right? But, to see it with my own eyes even in passing was a beautiful icebreaker. As I keep saying since, visual poetry. As left and right is an opportunity to capture the bright life of Samoa. Too quick for the SONY, but enough to hit my voyager soul and spirit. 📸The young boys sitting at the doorstep of their Fale looking out at the cars passing by. 📸The two girls carrying the weight of a basket. 📸The auntie holding her baby and smiling at the passing voyager. 📸The roadside markets of taro, banana, and/or fruit. “Aww you could take taken a picture of that” “There is just too much to capture at one time!” I am truly and sincerely humbled and blessed to have finally made it to Samoa. Even more blessed that the sails are carrying me around gracefully on the island of Upolu through people to the very drives like on that day. I look forward to how I immerse in stories across Samoa.
