Twice, bts, Beyoncé, Olivia, and The Weeknd didn’t have them on either. I’m pretty sure it depends on sofi stadium. I heard that they do tests especially when the concerts have lasers. A worker at sofi said that blackpink’s lasers were too strong especially the green/blue lasers and had a high risk of damaging the halo screen which is why they didn’t turn it on, apparently there was even some phone cameras that got affected during the concert which is why YG put the rule or no recording/photography

To clarify. Sofi stadium tests the lasers used at concerts. Blackpink lasers didn’t pass the test because they use heavy green/blue lasers (especially during jump performance) those type of lasers damages the halo screen so sofi didn’t allow them to be on. Literally lasers make up 80% of the concerts when it comes to bp lol 😭

The cut that SOFI would take for using the Jumbotron/audio system is really really high due to having use of the cameras (and extra video production crew) that’s connected to the system and the added potential with lights and lasers interfering with visuals which could lead to complaints from the audience, which is why majority of artists decide to not use it. Plus it would be inefficient having two different staff teams trying to communicate the layout of the concert/camera angles and lightings while they could stick with the staff they hired themselves and equipment they’re already experienced using

@ojany: I work for SoFi stadium in logistics, we weren’t allowed to turn it on even if we wanted to. A test was was done prior to the show and the lighting used by the group performers would have severely damaged the screen.
