There was no doner in Turkey, it was served in a different way. The Doner as we know it today, was invented in Germany by Turkish immigrants in the 1970s.

Döner Kebab is a German dish created by a Turkish in Germany, for Germans. It got perfected here. Where else would you expect to have the best Döner? 🤔 In most villages we got 1 or 2 places where you can buy Döner. It’s one of the most common food places in Germany. It is German 🤷🏻♂️the original Turkish dish from which it originated, is something different.
