@waagal: "H₃egʷʰi Gʷʰonos" the first single of my new album "Echoes from the Past", which is planned for october 2025 and now availble in preorder at waagal.fr/preorder (CD & Vinyl) ☀️ The only goal of the preorder is to finance a limited edition vinyl of the album. This new song is based on a dragon-slaying myth in Proto Indo European reconstructed by linguists Riccardo Ginevra and Andrew M. Byrd. The narrative phrases and structure have been reconstructed on the basis of the correspondences between phrases and structures of dragon-slaying myths in Ancient Greek, Sanskrit, Old Norse, and Hittite, among many others. Proto-Indo-European is a hypothetical language considered to be the unique origin of today's Indo-European languages. Linguists have partially reconstructed this possible protolanguage on the basis of similarities between languages that have often disappeared but are real and known, and partially on the basis of well-identified transformation patterns, particularly phonological ones. Disclaimer: throatsinging is not attested in Proto Indo European culture and therefore it does not represent it.
