whilst yes it is jorge’s voice, it’s very unlikely that it’s actually ody since jorge helps w/ background vocals, and by the time the challenge happens ody would most likely be sailing back to ithaca and get there around the same time as the beginning of hold them down.

Or do you think it’s both? The suitors AND Odysseus? I hear multiple voices but also Jorge’s. My theory is some of the suitors are trying to get Penelope’s attention and believe Ody is another and try to drown his voice out. Alongside that, the timeline matches up. Penelope explicitly states something about a storm that was close to the kingdom, Poseidon was waiting at Ithaca’s shores, maybe not close enough for the people to notice Odysseus or Poseidon but close enough for Odysseus to get to the palace as the challenge is happening.

i don’t think it’s odyssey, but the suitors by the way they sing it! odyssey usually sings higher while the suitors usually sing lower, like in this part!! if this is the case, this could also be the suitors are trying to be odysseus so hard and are trying to call penelope in the same way

Fun fact, whenever it’s Odysseus saying Penelope, it doesn’t have dissonance. Ie, the sirens, and when Zeus is doing the prophecy “Penelope” has dissonance. So, it’s not Odysseus saying her name :)
