Those who have not been through what we have don't realize how horrible cancer treatment is. I'm a year in and I'm still weak and confused and trying to rebuild. It's so damn difficult.

As a daughter & a parent, I will never understand this type of attitude towards your children. My own mother had a very similar attitude towards me & my dreams. When it comes to my kids, I always say I want you to do better than me. Have wonderful life experiences & if even a sliver of possibilitie exists, I want them to try for their dreams.
