I wish I was able to have a barbie and see representation of T1D when I was younger. I was so ashamed of having it because of all the misconceptions about a disease that was out of my control. I am so glad little girls now get to see themselves and are shown that T1D makes us unique and despite all the insensitive individuals out there, there is also a great community of us who will continue to strive for proper education and representation.

people who don't have diabetes just don't understand you can get type 1 at any age it use to be you had to be born with it now you can get it at any age I was 28 years old in 2018 when I became a diabetic and in 2023 I found out that I was a type 1 I went into dka twice diabetes has nothing to do with being overweight or having to much sweets I'm 34 years old now I have had diabetes for 7 years now I'm still learning how to control it better I have a great support behind me helping me to control and I like finding videos of other people that has had type 1 diabetes longer then me to get tips and to support them cause we are all Rockstars I would love to meet Raelynn she is amazing the whole family is amazing 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰

How sad :( people are so mean and obviously uneducated. When I saw this Barbie I was so excited because I knew it would make so many little girls happy who have type 1 diabetes. I have a younger brother who has been diabetic since age 10, people have no idea what these people go through every single day to literally survive!

I swear we need education on what diabetes really is. Especially type 1. Even doctors need to be educated. I’m 54 and was diagnosed with type 1 last year after being in DKA. The ER doctor tried to tell me it was impossible for me to have T1D because of my age.

If only these people lived a life of a type 1 family !! And what our children have to go through !! Every day is hard !! But we fight it !! We are a Type one family x x I got the Barbie for my toddler !! And she love it as she’s the same as her brother x x
