So glad the US is taking drones serious. I did a briefing on drone warfare in 2020, before this war started. Even I saw what was coming. How is Army command so clueless.

Current tanker in the Army. couple of things. herringbone formation is used when we are in a open area and we dont identify any cover for us. (picture a tank in a valley). two. drones. the army has started a different strategy back before Trump took office. not sure i can speak on exactly the how/why. what i can say is there would never be a time where tanks would be by themselves regardless of drones present or not. There will always be either apaches of some other form of CAS (Close aerial support). now do you think either Russia or Ukraine have done this on either side? thanks for reading my Ted talk.

Well, the USA already has technology that makes FPV drones beyond just useless. For example the new anti-FPV drone missiles on our AH-64 Apache or F-15E Strike Eagle. (These missiles are extremely cheap) Also US jammer technology (even fiber optic wire) will all get jammed from 50km -100km. So this tactic is honestly just incase you need to become 1st use would be CROW system.

canister is awful for AA in practice, in ww2 the IJN were using "beehive"rounds on their battle ships which were described by attacking pilots as "pretty fireworks"

I'll admit my knowledge about this is from video games but don't tanks have a active protection system that can shoot down rpg's before they hit the tank? won't that work against a drone?

Why wouldn’t they have drone swarms assigned to each tank? That was AI controlled, aerial objects, even brown objects.. and also have system systems that can do radio interference, so the swarms aren’t able to communicate with each other or homebase
