I asked one once “so if you traveled to Mexico and had a heart attack, they should not let you into the hospital and refuse to treat you?” The response was was “but I wouldn’t be illegal there.” Bro…you have a US passport, not a Mexican green card in that scenario 🤷♀️

They shouldn’t have cut Medicaid, but…there is also something that bothers those of us not completely void of any sense of right and wrong when people are here illegally. Both can be true. Yes, they may have been here a long time…still fucking wrong.

In Tennessee if an undocumented person is admitted to the hospital from the ED they receive 30 days of Medicaid. These are humans, and deserve the same care as everyone else.

I had a 20yr resident of Las Vegas (undocumented) show up an emergency room with an Hg/HCT of 1/3! She had been bleeding into diapers with her periods for years. She finally lost consciousness while cleaning someone’s floors. We repeated the labs numerous times. It was legitimate.

Something I learned recently is that being in the country undocumented isn’t a federal crime. At best it’s a civil infraction. MAGA has been convinced that it is a serious crime but it’s not. Surprise surprise trump lied… again. This entire immigration issue is BS
