My son contracted it right before his 1st birthday. His doctor was flabbergasted when she saw his rash. She had never seen it outside her med books. It was in 2011. It angers me every time.

I'm in healthcare and what i find concerning is the increasing number of nurses who are antivax or vaccine hesitant. the public generally views nurses as trustworthy so a nurse's opinion often carries weight among their contacts. but they are spewing misinformation and many refuse to recognize it.

also just cause you got the vaccine when you were little you might need it again. i had to get it again when I was 17 cause even though I got the vaccine as a child my blood work was showing that I was never developed immunity. something thay runs in my family my Aunt was the same way

My kids went to a daycare that required vaccinations… if you didn’t want to vaccinate you could go somewhere else.

If you are planning on becoming pregnant, talk to your doctor about seeing if you need an MMR booster. My doctor had me take an easy blood test to check my antibody levels to see if I needed one. It’s everyone’s responsibility to help keep each other safe and it’s too easy to do!

Parent that had it/exposed everyone should have to pay all associated costs for anyone effected (medical, time off work, lost wages of the daycare workers, etc.). People need to pay the consequences of their actions.

If you don’t want to vaccinate your kids, fine. But if private daycares and schools require it, I don’t want to hear them complain. It’s MY right to keep my child vaccinated but it is not YOUR right to make mine sick. 🤷🏻♀️

I’m old, had the measles as a child (no vaccine available). I had NO idea measles had so many serious complications until the outbreak in Texas. I don’t understand why anyone would not vaccinate their children or themselves.

What I've always been boggled by is that, despite how many times its been refuted that vaccines don't cause autism, the amount of parents that are willing to let their kids suffer these deadly diseases instead of Potentially having autism. Like, why would you risk your child's health?

Don't blame the afraid people for the consequences of medical abuse. If you want people to trust vaccines, you need them to trust doctors!!! Why don't people trust doctors? GOOD QUESTION, look into medical trauma, medical violence, and medical SA.

But like she said it didn’t come from a kid it came from a parent and maybe that parent was vaccinated, but somehow their immunity system gave it to them from somebody else. Or maybe they got vaccinated and got the virus from the vaccine cause I have that happened to two of my kids with the chickenpox

It’s so infuriating! I have two nieces that don’t believe in vaccines and refused to vaccinate their kids. They follow junk science. One of them got credentialed to be a teacher and they opened a school for unvaccinated children. She teaches all grade levels

Can you explain what is dangerous about the heavy metals in vaccines? You need to discuss both sides for properly informing people. One sided information creates fear mongers amd pushes people to become anti-vaxers. Help people make informed decisions.

58 yrs old, in Texas, had to get MMR vaccine because showed I had no immunity. I was given vaccine in the 60’s during the time is wasn’t live attenuated vaccine. I’m immunocompromised. This is so frustrating all the anti vax people Otomi so many people at risk.
